5 Things to Know Before Your Wedding Hair & Makeup Trial
By Theresa Farrage, S.Lukas & Company Associate Planner
Getting your hair and makeup professionally done on your wedding day is the best gift you can give yourself.
There’s just something about getting pampered like a celebrity that can make you feel special.
In order to get the most out of your experience, don’t forget to schedule a consultation for both your makeup and hair at least a month prior to your wedding day.
Here are five things you need to know before your trial:
KEEP YOUR LOOK THE SAME
Make sure your hair length and color will be the same during your trial as it is on your wedding day.
DON’T FORGET YOUR ACCESORIES!
Bring all hair pieces, extensions, and the veil to your hair appointment. It’s also important to bring the earrings and neck jewelry that you’ll be wearing to see how it looks with your hair style.
PLAN AHEAD
Avoid any facial treatments such as lip or wrinkle injections and/or fillers, chemical peels, facial hair waxing, and facials too close prior to your trial and wedding day, as this may alter your appearance.
When doing your makeup trial, make sure to keep in mind your tanning appointments and sun exposure.
LOOK FOR IDEAS & BRING PHOTOS!
Bring photos to share with your team so they can understand your vision. Don’t forget to snap a few photos of your hair and makeup so you can have them handy as a reference.
Now that your hair and makeup is on point, there’s no sense in wasting the look sitting at home. Gather your friends and hit the town to celebrate your upcoming wedding day!
