Celebrating Chris and Rachel's Love

Chris and Rachel are such a fun couple! They truly complement each other and make an incredibly strong team. Although they got married prior in a private ceremony, this was their chance to celebrate with all their friends and family—and celebrate they did!

The couple found me online and decided to hire me because of my experience in planning weddings for couples who live in different states. Although Chris and Rachel reside in California, they chose to celebrate in Nebraska, where they're originally from. Through Zoom calls and a few scheduled visits, we were able to plan the reception of their dreams.

The Big Day

The celebration was filled with fun details and activities, including:

  • Grazing Board for Cocktail Hour: Guests enjoyed a delicious spread during the cocktail hour.

  • Ring Pops: At every plate, there were Ring Pops, which were the rings Chris and Rachel used in their wedding ceremony!

  • Artsy Postcards as Table Numbers: Unique and creative postcards served as table numbers.

  • Gorgeous Wildflower Centerpieces: Bright wildflowers added a touch of natural beauty to every table.

  • Caricature Artist: Guests had a blast getting their caricatures drawn.

  • Glow Sticks and Accessories for Dancing: The dance floor was lit up with glow sticks and fun accessories.

  • Jammin' Playlist: A curated playlist kept everyone dancing all night.

  • Yummy Signature Cocktails: Delicious cocktails were a hit among the guests.

  • Fun Cocktail Napkins: Cocktail napkins with fun facts about the couple added a personal touch.

  • Interactive Dessert Station: An engaging dessert station featuring ice cream pops made with nitrogen and mini pies delighted guests.

  • Phone Guest Book: A unique phone allowed guests to leave heartfelt messages for the couple.

Special Ceremony

The day also included a unique vow renewal ceremony called Baumstamm sägen, a Unity Ceremony. Baumstamm sägen, or "sawing the tree trunk," is a German wedding tradition where the bride and groom saw a log in half in front of guests after the ceremony. This tradition symbolizes the couple's ability to work together and overcome challenges in their marriage, and it's also believed to bring good luck and fortune.
